Ground

ROOTING

THE QUIET ACT OF BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

Most of us move through the day in a state of distraction and reactivity.  We wake up and immediately start scrolling feeds, checking notifications and tasks in our to-do list. Ground is where we interrupt that pattern. It’s the recognition that where we place our attention is the foundation of everything. When you’re scattered, even the clearest ideas slip past unnoticed. When you’re present, even ordinary moments become material for our work. This phase doesn’t produce anything tangible. It’s about creating the conditions in which everything else becomes possible.

Find 5 minutes without a screen or task. Create a simple ritual that marks your transition into a creative practice: light a candle, write in a journal, make a cup of tea, play a specific playlist.

How to work with today

You cultivate the ability to pause before reacting. Over time, you become more aware of the difference between responding to the demands around you and choosing where to place your attention.

What this practice cultivates

What changes when I begin from a place of intention rather than from a state of reactivity?
