The Practice

This practice is cyclical and moves through seven phases. Each one creates the conditions for the next, leading you deeper towards your authentic creative expression. You’ll move forward, circle back, and begin again. These aren’t steps to complete. They’re places you return to.

ROOTING

01

Notice is the practice of waking up to what is already there. This phase is about recognizing the recurring themes or subjects that reveal what wants to be made

Notice

Open

Ground

Most days begin in a state of distraction and reactivity. Ground interrupts that pattern. Before anything can be created, we must interrupt the noise long enough to notice what's actually present

OPENING

You move before knowing where you are going, trusting the thread more than the destination. By experimenting and following your curiosity, you create the conditions for new possibility to emerge.

GATHERING

04

At some point, all the possibilities collapse into something specific. Form is that moment. This is where you choose one direction and let the rest fall away. Constraint is the condition that allows depth to form. Intention clarifies into a single direction, gathering around what matters most.

FORGING

05

Make

This is where inspiration meets reality. Action becomes the bridge between your internal vision and the external world. The work moves forward through consistent engagement.

STILLNESS

06

Pause

Step back and release the need to control how things unfold. Distance allows insight to surface and the work to evolve on its own terms.

OFFERING

Share

Sharing reconnects the individual act of creation with the collective experience. Creative work doesn’t exist in isolation. When we offer our creations it becomes part of a larger network of people, ideas, and influence. Continuing to generate new cycles.
