EMBRACE MESSY EXPLORATION
Open is where we step away from needing a clear path forward. We often approach creativity with expectations, rules, and a need to know where something is going before we begin. But creativity rarely thrives under rigid control. This phase is an invitation to play, to approach ideas with flexibility, test possibilities without attachment, and let yourself explore without the pressure to produce something. This phase is an invitation to experiment, to follow a thread without demanding it make sense yet. The goal is to explore and experiment. When you give yourself permission to play, you create the conditions for new possibilities to emerge.
Generate twenty variations of one idea. Write, sketch, record, or build as many deliberately unfinished versions as you can. The only rule: don’t evaluate what you produce today. The goal is to stay in motion.
