Open

MOVEMENT THREE

OPENING

EMBRACE MESSY EXPLORATION

Open is where most people stall. They wait to feel ready. They wait for certainty before they act. But readiness rarely arrives before you start— it’s discovered after we take  action. This phase is an invitation to experiment: to follow a thread without demanding it make sense yet. The goal is to explore and experiment. By exploring, experimenting, and following your curiosity, you create the conditions for new possibilities to emerge.

Generate twenty variations of one idea. Write, sketch, record, or build as many deliberately unfinished versions as you can. The only rule: don’t evaluate what you produce today. The goal is to stay in motion.

How to work with today

You cultivate curiosity over certainty. By setting aside judgment, you create space for ideas to emerge that couldn't have been planned in advance.

What this practice cultivates

What becomes possible when I stop trying to control what emerges?
